About Friday Frolics:
This neighborhood event has become a tradition in our neighborhood going on for several decades. It is an opportunity for everyone in the neighborhood to meet one another and build our neighborhood social connections. New neighbors and neighbors that have lived here since Ken Kesey in the late 1950s.
Our neighborhood is a wonderful neighborhood and has been for decades, partially because we share in social events like Friday Frolics and holiday celebrations. A cornerstone of what makes us a great neighborhood is that our neighbors know each other. Getting to know each other is so important to our safety and our ability help each other in times of need or emergency. It certainly makes living here more friendly and fun.
In the earlier years, the neighborhood gathered for Friday Frolics at the Oak Knoll School playgrounds next to Vine St. where we would have pizza, treats, play baseball with the kids, and lots of room for friends, families and kids to enjoy. It has moved over the years to other neighborhood locations. The last several Frolics have been on Perry Lane.
