Safety Petitions — Your help needed on these 2 important items

There are several serious safety and traffic issues in our community and we have an opportunity to kick start action to solving them. It starts with our efforts: Two online petitions for addressing some of the most egregious safety issues in our community:
- A pedestrian activated flashing light for the Santa Cruz Ave crosswalk at Palo Alto Way
- Correct a critical safety issue on northbound Santa Cruz Ave at Alameda intersection
Please read the petitions (they are short). Add your signature for the petitions you agree with and help the community obtain a safer and calmer traffic flow in our neighborhoods along the Santa Cruz Ave and Alameda de las Pulgas corridor, actions that will help reduce speeding and are a step forward for having our roads feel less expressway and more residential.
We are looking to sharing the petitions with San Mateo County this coming Tuesday, so the time for action is now.
