My daughter Jennifer was always horse crazy. From the time she was three when she had her first painted, wooden rocking horse with real horsehair mane and tail, all she wanted for toys were horses. Our collection of plastic horses, corrals, fences, and barns, was rivaled by none.

I was never a Prankster, Merry or otherwise. Pranksterism sprung up around me like a rank untidy growth when we all lived on Perry Lane in the late fIfties, early sixties. I moved to one of the small cottages built there after the First World War, with my seven-year-old daughter, Jennifer, after divorcing my husband and leavIng New York forever.

The Fair is held in the redwoods of La Honda. It is a two day festival of music, celebration, and community just south of Half Moon Bay. Local art/music festival to benefit the La Elementary School Arts & Music Programs.
Sunday, October 27th will be our neighborhood's annual Pumpkin Carving and Halloween Parade, and new this year Potluck! All the activities will be on Stanford Avenue @ Palo Alto Way.

Our neighborhood and those neighborhoods in West Menlo Park along the Santa Cruz and Alameda de las Pulgas, between Sand Hill Road and Avy Avenue, have for decades been trying to get critical safety issues addressed by the County and City. Unfortunately, very little has been done.
